This is a tanto by Miyaguchi Toshihiro, a renowned Gendai smith and Yasukuni Shrine craftsman. Made in 1933 to commemorate the establishment of the Yasukuni Nihonto Tanren Kai, it bears his special order mei of "Toshihiro" and the inscription "Nihonto Tanren Kai Setsuritsu Kinen Moku Me". The tanto comes with NTHK(NPO) papers, shira-saya with wood habaki, and a storage bag.
