This is an unsigned iron tsuba from the Mid-Edo period, featuring an ivy arabesque openwork design. Despite its curved composition, it gives a somewhat rigid impression, likely due to the symmetrical arrangement of ivy and arabesque motifs and the vertical openwork. It is large and almost perfectly round, with a strong, dark iron ground. It is classified as Kyo-Sukashi.
