Description

A late nineteenth / early twentieth century katana signed Tsuda Takagi no Kami Sukenao, dated Genroku nen ni gatsu hi (a day in February 1693), but clearly a gimei. The blade has a dragon chasing a tama horimono, with a bonji on the reverse and is mounted in samurai koshirae. The blade is in good health and without damage, with some light staining, and a bit of spider rust that may be cleaned with oil and uchiko.
