NihontoWatchNihontoWatch双牛透といえば雲州春田毎幹の作を思い浮かべるが、本作も同様の構図で、巴状に配された牛（表側からみると上部は横向き、下部は俯瞰）を表裏描き分けている。いかにも手強い印象の地鉄は頗る鍛え良く錆色深い。起伏のあるデフォルメされた筋骨と鋭い目つき、と思いきや一方はユーモラスな表情で好対照の二頭。（実はこの二頭は角の生え方が違う。）機械による動力が採り入れられる以前、牛は共に暮らし生活を支えてくれる頼もしい存在であった。
