Description

This is a fuchi kashira set featuring a design of waves and paulownia crests. The paulownia crest is a highly regarded auspicious motif. The composition conveys both dignity and vibrancy, with small gold-colored dew-like inlays skillfully accentuating the sparkle of the water. The style suggests it was made by a Kyo-Kinko (Kyoto metalworker) during the late Edo period.
