This katana was signed by Ōmi no Kami Fujiwara Tsuguhiro, a swordsmith of the Echizen Shimosaka school active during the Kanbun era (1661–1673). He was an apprentice of the third-generation Echizen Yasutsugu and received the honorable title of Omi no Kami. The blade comes with an NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Certificate, shirasaya, and koshirae mountings.
