This is a Ken (straight sword) by Kozaemon Yukihira, also known as Miyairi Megumi, a contemporary smith from Nagano. He is the second son of Living National Treasure Miyairi Akihira and was certified as a Mukansa smith in 2000. This particular blade, made in 2002, is a special order piece with a 'tame-uchi' inscription, featuring a beautiful ko-itame hada and a suguha-cho hamon with various activities.
