Description

This is an iron tsuba from the Saotome school, known for their pre-Edo armorer origins in Sagami province. The piece features a bridge cap motif and is believed to be an earlier work, possibly early Edo period, due to the quality of its iron plate. It measures 3 inches by 3 inches.
