Description

This is a modern tanto by Yoshihisa of Bichu province. It reproduces a small tanto from the late Nanboku-cho period, featuring a finely packed ko-itame hada with well-developed ji-nie. The blade is forged in a straight-edge style with small ko-tomo no me and small ko-ashi, making it an outstanding example. The blade is in excellent condition and comes in a shirasaya.
