This antique Japanese Katana is signed by Omi no Kami Minamoto Hisamichi, believed to be the first generation of smiths active during the early Edo Period (1650-1673). He belonged to the prestigious Mishina school in Yamashiro province and was known as one of the Gokaji (five most prestigious swordsmiths in Kyoto).
