This antique Japanese katana was crafted by Morishige, a 3rd-generation swordsmith from the Takasaki Domain in Gunma Prefecture. Dating to the transitional period between the Muromachi and Edo eras, it is certified as a preserved sword by the Nihon Token Hozon Kai. The sword features brand new fittings designed for Iaido practice while preserving traditional aesthetics.
