This is an unsigned iron tsuba from the late Edo period, featuring a wild boar design. It is a large, vertically oval iron tsuba with deep relief carvings of rocks, cliffs, and trees, depicting a rich natural scene in the mountains. The running boar is rendered in shibuichi-ji takabori zogan, reminiscent of the colorful style of Masamitsu from the Aizu Shoami school.
