Iron tsuba decorated with dragon and waves. Design of this tsuba with really high relief is really interesting and makes a great impression. What is also unique is that head of the dragon is inlaid/attached to the tsuba. In some places the line of added material is well visible in others I can't see it at all. Made of iron with gold and silver inlay. Droplets are made of solid metal, while other parts are covered with nunome zogan. Made in late Edo or Meiji period.

We could not find an authenticity certificate on the seller’s listing. Japanese swords and fittings are normally papered by the NBTHK (or the NTHK). Without one, the attribution is the seller’s own assessment and has not been independently verified — treat it with caution and ask the dealer about certification before buying.
