Description

This is a tachi by Sukenaga of the Osafune school, dating to the late Kamakura period. The blade features a sugaha-style hamon with small chouji and gunome, and a vivid midare-utsuri. It is a masterpiece that could be mistaken for a late work by Nagamitsu and was exhibited at the Nagamitsu exhibition at the Sano Art Museum.
