Mito Tsuba for Sale
The Mito schools of Hitachi province produced soft-metal tsuba in great number through the late Edo period, building on the pictorial style pioneered by the Nara masters. Mito guards are characteristically rich — high-relief inlay in gold, silver, and colored alloys depicting dragons, landscapes, and legend. Their decorative abundance makes them a popular and accessible field for kinko collectors.
