This is a katana made by Takazane from Dewa province during the late Edo period (Keio era). It features a small, tanto-like blade with a wide mihaba and thick kasane, displaying a vibrant nie deki hamon with large gunome, tobiyaki, and sunagashi. The sword comes with a koshirae featuring a hyowari-mon (ice crack) design on a black ishimenuri saya.
