This is an antique Japanese Yoroidōshi tanto, signed Yoshimitsu and attributed to Tosa Yoshimitsu from the late Muromachi period (Bunmei era). It features an exceptionally thick hira-zukuri blade with a kasane of 9mm, designed for armor-piercing. The tanto is housed in a well-preserved period aikuchi koshirae with a marbled kage-maki-e saya and a fitted kozuka, showcasing both practical strength and historical value.
