This is a tanto attributed to Nobukuni of Chikushi, dating to the Muromachi period around the Choroku era (1457-1460). It features a thick kasane with mitsumune construction and a large bohi carved on both sides. The signature "Nobukuni" is split across the bohi, suggesting that the carving and signature were done when the sword was originally made.
