This is a newly polished tanto by Yoshimitsu, featuring an ubu-nakago and a yoroi-doshi (armor-piercing) style. The blade has an uchi-zori and measures 18.5cm in nagasa, housed in a shirasaya. Yoshimitsu was a smith active from the Kamakura to Muromachi periods, with some of his works designated as National Treasures or Important Cultural Properties.
