This is a fuchi, a sword fitting, featuring a rain dragon design. It is mumei (unsigned) and dates to the Edo period. The fuchi is made of iron and measures 40.0mm in length, 15.0mm in height, and 35.4mm in head length. There are some peeling of the inlay, but it is a large iron piece of 40mm, suitable for koshirae of martial arts swords that dislike hand rubbing due to carvings.
