Description

This is a tsuba made by Kumamoto Fusatsugu in the Higo province during the late Edo period. The tsuba features a design of phoenixes and auspicious clouds, with gold and silver inlay to create contrast. It has a rounded square shape with a hammered iron ground and openwork carving.
