This is a tantō by Buzen-jū Masanobu, a senior apprentice of Kōno Sadamitsu, featuring a finely forged jigane and a notare-gunome hamon. The blade is in excellent condition and comes with a simple black roiro-lacquered aikuchi koshirae, also in good condition. It is an ideal piece as a protective tantō.
