Description

This is a kozuka (small knife handle) featuring a design of Raijin, the Japanese god of thunder. It is crafted from shakudo (copper-gold alloy) with iroe (colored inlay) and a mokume-gane (wood grain metal) finish on the reverse side. The piece dates back to the Edo period.
