Description

This antique Japanese wakizashi is signed by Yamashiro Daijyo Minamoto Kunishige, an active smith during the early Edo period (1645-1648) from the Mizuta school in Bitchu province. It comes with a complete koshirae, including a Fuchi-Kashira with a running water and plant motif, chrysanthemum Menuki, an iron Tsuba, and a black lacquer Saya decorated with Makie chrysanthemum patterns. The blade is certified as Tokubetsu Hozon by the NBTHK.
