Description

This is a Hozon-certified tanto by Kanetoyo, a smith from Mino province, believed to be from the Genki era (1570s). It features a gunome-midare hamon and an itame-masame jigane. The blade comes with a late Edo period koshirae, including a signed Tsukusanken fitting and a Daikoku-themed iron tsuba.
