This is a katana by Shoji Katsuya Naohide, a grandson of the master smith Taikei Naotane and active in the late Edo period (Shin-Shinto). The blade measures over 80cm, featuring a bright gunome hamon with activities like kinsuji and sunagashi, and a well-forged ko-itame hada. It comes with a high-quality aogai mijin-nuri uchigatana koshirae with tiger-themed fittings, a shirasaya, and a gold-plated double habaki.
