This is a wakizashi signed by Ōmi daijo Fujiwara TADAHIRO from the Shinto period (early Edo, circa 1644-47) and Hizen school. The blade is a large-size Ō-wakizashi of Shinogi-zukuri construction with a supreme fine and uniform Ko-mokume forging. The hamon is fine Nie hard metal granules base, wide Suguha with an indication of shallow undulating Notare line.
