This is a tsuba from the Ito school. It features a tatemarugata (竪丸形) shape, iron (tetsuji) construction, nikuborijisukashi (肉彫地透) openwork carving, and zouganmimi (象嵌耳) inlaid rim. The Ito school was active as a tsuba specialist in Bushu (Musashi province).
