Description

This pair of menuki features an auspicious design combining Manzai dance, pine branches, and a wish-granting jewel with the character for longevity. Attributed to the Otsuki school, which flourished in Kyoto during the late Edo period, they are crafted from solid gold with high-relief carving and inlay. The detailed workmanship creates a three-dimensional effect, characteristic of the 'tall mountains and deep valleys' style.
