This is a rare collaborative work between the 3rd Generation Yoshihara Kuniie and his senior apprentice, Shimizu Tadatsugu. The blade features a wide motohaba and sakihaba, well-balanced sori, and a powerful construction with an extended chukissaki. It is a testament to the skill of two masters of Iai-do, with no flaws and exquisite weight distribution.

We could not find an authenticity certificate on the seller’s listing. Japanese swords and fittings are normally papered by the NBTHK (or the NTHK). Without one, the attribution is the seller’s own assessment and has not been independently verified — treat it with caution and ask the dealer about certification before buying.
