This is a tanto made by Teruyoshi (英義), also known as Fujieda Taro Teruyoshi, from Musashi province during the late Edo period (Shin-Shinto era). It features a unique hada (grain pattern) reminiscent of the Soshu tradition, which is rare for Teruyoshi's works. The blade comes with a brown lacquered aikuchi koshirae and is housed in a shirasaya, accompanied by an NBTHK Hozon Token certificate.
