This is a tanto made by Norishige, a disciple of the Living National Treasure Miyairi Yukihira. The blade measures 19.8cm in nagasa and was made in Toyama in 1992 (Heisei 4). Norishige, whose real name is Yoshida Seizo, studied under several notable smiths before Miyairi Yukihira and has received numerous awards.
