This is an unsigned tanto from the late Edo period. It comes with a silver engraved scabbard featuring a Maru ni Migi Kasane Chigai Takanoha Mon (hawk feather crest) aikuchi koshirae, though the koshirae itself is a modern production. The blade is also housed in a shirasaya.
