This Edo period Fuchi Kashira is decorated with Kabu (turnip) and Daikon (Japanese white radish), auspicious vegetables symbolizing prosperity. The leaves are colored with golden paint, creating an elegant contrast with the copper's black color. The surface is finished with the Nanako-Ji technique, adding decorativeness to the metalwork.
