Description

This is a wakizashi from the mid to late Muromachi period. It features a well-forged mokume hada with chikei and utsuri. The hamon is a bright nioiguchi with a flamboyant notare pattern including choji and pointed elements, with sunagashi and kinsuji. The sword comes with a Meiji 7th year (1874) pattern army officer's saber koshirae.
