Nara Tsuba for Sale

The Nara school led the flowering of pictorial soft-metal tsuba in Edo. Its three great masters — Toshinaga, Yasuchika, and Joi — broke from formal Goto convention toward naturalistic, painterly designs in katakiribori and colored alloys. Nara guards are landmarks of the kinko tradition, prized for their artistry and expressive subjects.
