Mino Province (Gifu) · Muromachi–Edo
Mino-bori is the dense, deeply-undercut carving style of Mino province — a soft-metal tradition older than the Gotō orthodoxy it would later feed. Its hallmark is a profusion of chrysanthemum, karakusa scrollwork, and floral relief crowded across the surface. The Ko-Mino carvers and the Mino-Gotō branch carry the style.
