Description

This antique Japanese Tanto was forged by Chotokusai Korehiro in Suruga Province in February of Keio 2 (1866), during the late Edo period. It comes with an NBTHK Hozon Certificate for the blade and a Tokubetsu Kicho Certificate for its koshirae. The koshirae features a Shishi Botan (lion and peony) motif on the menuki, symbolizing strength and prosperity.
