It has arrived, it has arrived! A famous *wazamono* masterpiece *wakizashi* by the renowned *Osaka Shinto* master smith, *Kikumon Echizen no Kami Minamoto Nobuyoshi*, has arrived. He is one of the representative figures of *Osaka Shinto* from around the Kanbun era (1661) of the early Edo period (365 years ago). He was the younger brother of the first generation *Kyoto Yamashiro Shinano no Kami Nobuyoshi* and moved to Osaka. He was a master smith who competed in skill alongside the great masters of the time, *Tsuda Echizen no Kami Sukehiro* and *Inoue Shinkai*. He is a swordsmith of peak popularity, valued even more highly than his elder brother *Shinano no Kami Nobuyoshi* in Kyoto. This *wakizashi* displays the *Kanbun Shinto wakizashi-sugata*, similar to the works of *Kotetsu* in Edo, characterized by a difference between the *moto-mihaba* and *saki-mihaba* with shallow *sori*. The *jigane* is forged in *ko-itame hada*, revealing a strong and bright steel. The *hamon* is in *nioi-deki* with *ko-nie*, featuring a relaxed *Osaka yakidashi* leading into a bright and gorgeous *gunome-ba* with many *kinsuji* appearing within the blade, which is truly magnificent. Since ancient times, the works of *Echizen no Kami Minamoto Nobuyoshi* have been said to rival those of *Tsuda Echizen no Kami Sukehiro* and *Inoue Shinkai*, and he is a highly evaluated master smith. This *wakizashi* has been cherished for generations by an old family of the Kishu Domain. We have been entrusted with it by the owners who said, "We have grown old, so please pass this on at a low price to someone who will treasure it." While this is a masterpiece that would pass *Tokubetsu Hozon Token* immediately, we are offering such a famous *wakizashi* at a special bargain price. Please enjoy this masterfully bright work by the representative *Osaka Shinto* swordsmith, *Kikumon Echizen no Kami Minamoto Nobuyoshi*.
